When looking for design ideas for the holiday season, I'm always inspired by French Floral Designer Christian Tortu. At his home in Noves near Avignon, he gives a new twist to the traditional tree by inserting fir boughs into a topiary bay tree and surrounding the base with oranges. 
A long narrow table is surrounded by an array of chairs and decorated with olive branches and hand blown glass ornaments.
